Come see what the Alabama gulf coast has to offer!
Orange Beach, AL
We left from Fort Morgan Marina located in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The wind and current was perfect to fish the surf on the beach, so we decided to free line some live baits in the surf, and it paid off big time! The action was fast paced and non stop the entire time. We caught speckled trout, spanish mackerel, pompano amd whiting, all in the same spot! These fish can be found in the surf feeding in the rip currents. The sea weed is pretty bad, so we had to fish the live baits under a cork to prevent the sea weed from tangling the lines.
Gear & Tackle Used:
Light spinning tackle, using 12lb main line and a 20lb leader, using a #6 treble hook, 24" under the cork.
